Working together is collaborative, grounded, and focused on helping both of you feel heard.
A Neutral Space: My primary client is your relationship. I don't take sides, assign blame, or play judge. Instead, I help you both uncover the underlying dynamics and communication patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Evidence-Based & Structured: We don't just talk in circles about the fight you had on Tuesday. Using proven frameworks like the Gottman Method and Attachment Theory, we systematically assess your relationship’s strengths and areas for growth.
Practical & Actionable: Therapy with me balances deep emotional insight with practical, real-world tools. You’ll learn how to navigate conflict constructively, repair after arguments, and rebuild emotional intimacy outside of our sessions.

Our initial session focuses on understanding your unique dynamic, the challenges you’re facing, and what you both hope to achieve. We’ll discuss your relationship history, identify key patterns, and establish a clear, supportive path forward tailored to your goals.
-
It is completely normal for one partner to feel uncertain or anxious about therapy. You are welcome to attend an initial consultation to discuss your concerns. Often, knowing that counselling is a neutral, non-judgmental space—not a place to assign blame—helps hesitant partners feel more comfortable joining.
-
Absolutely! Relationships are systems - when one part moves - the whole dynamic has to adjust. If your partner isn't ready to join you in counselling at this time, individual counselling focussed on your relationship dynamic can shift old cycles, even if you are the only one in the room.
-
Not at all. Like any precious thing, a relationship thrives on proactive care. By attending to the small things now, we ensure that they don’t become bigger things later.
-
Yes. Counselling provides a calm, structured environment to navigate acute distress, gain clarity, and communicate constructively—whether your goal is to rebuild and repair the relationship or to navigate a thoughtful, respectful transition.

The number of sessions varies depending on your specific situation and goals. Some couples seek short-term support (6–8 sessions) to resolve a specific issue, while others benefit from longer-term therapy to re-architect deeper relational patterns. We will regularly review our progress together.
